We cordially invite you to the 8th EFIM Congress that will be held in İstanbul, Turkiye, May 27 - 30, 2009, by Turkish Society of Internal Medicine on behalf of EFIM.
The congress programme will cover the most important and exciting topics in basic and clinical internal medicine, the major aspects of various medical problems selected for their importance for European Internists. The priority of the Organizing Committee is to provide the highest quality of scientific information to the participants through a wide selection of topics and speakers. State of the art lectures, evidence-based internal medicine sessions, satellite symposia covering the latest clinical and laboratory developments will be the main parts of the program. You will find during the Congress a wide range of updates in the diagnosis and management of various diseases.
The participants and the co-participants will have a wonderful opportunity in İstanbul, which is not only a historic but also a magnificent city, incredibly fascinating and vividly alive. Beneath the unchanging skyline of her domes and minarets, there is the continual hustle and bustle of the crowd, the rumbling of vehicles along the ancient cobbled streets, the incessant coming and going, and the cries of street sellers mingling with the sounds of shipping in the busy port. Together with satisfying scientific programme, the participants will joy the museums, ancient churches, palaces, great mosques, bazaars, the İstanbul Bogazi (Bosphorus) and Halic (Golden Horn). However long you stay, whether for just a few days or longer, your time will be spent wonderfully in this unforgettable city.
