The ICOI is the predominant resource and largest organization for dental implant education in the world. For that reason each World Congress becomes that much more special as a focused venue that brings together international clinical experts willing to share their knowledge from many parts of our globe. From its inception Constantinople was one of the original “centers of the universe”. Today’s Istanbul is now an extremely popular tourist destination, and one of the largest cities in the world. It is therefore the perfect place for the next ICOI World Congress to be held on October 3-5, 2013.

Waterfront

Istanbul is truly a transcontinental city with one of the world’s busiest waterways, the famous Bosphorus between the Sea of Marmara, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea separating its commercial and historical centers between Europe, and one third of its population that reside in Asia. The Program Committee in concert with the Turkish Society of Oral Implantology and the Meffert Implant Institute have put together a stellar line-up of speakers who will present on innovative topics that include immediate loading, bone grafting, three dimensional imaging, guided surgical applications, occlusion, and much more. There will also be opportunities for in-depth and more personal presentations in our pre-conference workshops.

It is therefore our great pleasure to invite all of our members and colleagues to join us in
exploring international concepts in a truly international destination city. Come explore
one of the pinnacles of Byzantine architecture, and one of Istanbul’s most iconic structures, the Hagia Sophia which stood as the world’s largest cathedral for more than a thousand years before being converted into a mosque and now, a museum. Take extra time to visit Istanbul’s largest palace, Topkapi, or the Blue Mosque. But our foremost mission is to convey clinically relevant information delivered by our expert panelists who each bring a unique perspective, illustrating the importance of implant dentistry and its impact in all corners of our modern world.

Sincerely,
