Dear Colleagues,
I am most pleased to greet you on behalf of the Turkish Child Neurology Association and to extend the invitation to participate in the 7th Congress of the EPNS to be held in Kusadasi, Izmir on 26-29 September 2007.
Over 800 participants from child neurology and related fields are expected to attend the congress to exchange their ideas and findings in research, diagnosis and treatment, finding an excellent opportunity to assess the state of knowledge in the field and present an update. Furthermore, by being held in Turkey for the first time, this congress concretizes the widening geographical outlook of the EPNS, the awareness and recognition of regional scientific developments that have characterized its activities in recent years, a progressive evolution which contributed and will further contribute, we believe, in promoting international cooperation and scientific exchanges in our field. Clinical and basic research in child neurology has rapidly developed in the last few years and we are convinced that we are taking concrete steps towards our common objective, that is, towards improving and upgrading the worldwide care for children affected by neurological diseases.
The Organizing Committee is prepared a comprehensive scientific program that addresses subjects of focus and concern in pediatric neurology. The participants will have ample opportunities to present their own work in either open platform or poster formats.
A few words on the conference venue are in order: Kusadasi is a seaside town in a beautiful natural setting, and nearby Ephesus is a landmark city that carries a significant heritage of philosophical reflection and scientific thinking. Taking this into consideration the Congress Organizers are hoping the diversified cultural and social program will offer a pleasant and stimulating experience for the participants.
