LASER EUROPE 2009 - THE EUROPEAN CONGRESS FOR LASER- The 12th Congress of the European Society for Laser Aesthetic Surgery (ESLAS) and the 8th ICoS- INTERNATIONAL COSMETICS SYMPOSIUM hosted by The Turkish Society of Cosmetic Scientists (TCoS) are going to be held in İstanbul on 02-05 May 2009.
Physicians and surgeons, dermatologists, pharmacists, biologists, chemists, chemical engineers and aestheticians, working privately or in the cosmetic industry, universities and regulatory offices are the expected participants. The previous experiences on the series of Congresses and Symposia showed that scientists from all over the world are interested in such an occasion in Istanbul which is geographically situated in the middle of the two continents with a glorious historical background. This meeting will be unique since 'Laser Europe’ is going to be held for the first time in our Country. This time we are organizing the Meeting with the European Society for Laser Aesthetic Surgery, highlighting laser applications including basics and advances, fractional resurfacing, complementary techniques in plastic/aesthetic surgery, cosmetic dermatology, incisional surgery, percutaneous and endovascular surgery, pigmentary complications, present stage of polichromatic tattoo elimination and new technologies for hair removal.
Scientists from different sectors are aimed to exchange views, learn from each other’s experiences, get acquainted with the latest developments in the world of cosmetic laser applications and hold discussions in the rich atmosphere of a scientific meeting. There will be technical exhibitions, workshops and contributed presentations besides plenary lectures. Recent rapid developments in the scientific techniques of laser applications lead to the need of well-educated work teams. Curiosity to share information, exchange of scientific knowledge at both the professional and business levels and social contacts provide substantial benefits to those who get together in such an event of Meeting.
Besides the topics related to the wide range of laser applications, TCoS, being aware of the needs of the local cosmetic industry and academia, is organizing a 1-day workshop on ‘the Safety and Efficacy of Cosmetic Products’. Renowned scientist with full experience will deal with this popular challenge in the field of cosmetics.
The intended outcome of the Meeting is sharing and exchanging information on the recent developments in aesthetics and skin care which is expected to lead to innovative results for the scientists from the academia, regulatory authorities and the industry.
