Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the EACA and Turkish Society of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy, it is a great pleasure for us to invite you to join Anatomist 2009, the 10th Congress of European Association of Clinical Anatomy that will be held in the marvelous city of Istanbul on September 2-5, 2009.

Istanbul is alive with charm, beauty and sophistication. Being the only city located on two continents, it has a very rich social and cultural heritage. It is endowed with unrivaled beauty complimented by unique juxtaposition of ancient and modern. So the participants will have the opportunity to savor the history of many centuries, as well as to experience famous Turkish cuisine and hospitality.

The venue of Anatomist 2009 will be “Askeri Müze –Military Museum” located in the “congress valley”, in the very heart of the city with numerous fine hotels and restaurants in close proximity. Askeri Müze is an enormous 2-story building housing countless military artifacts from Turkey’s Byzantine and Ottoman past, as well as from the Republic. The Congress center of the museum is equipped with all sorts of technical facilities, with large halls and exhibition areas for international meetings.

As for technical details, the official language of Anatomist 2009 will be English. The deadline for abstract submission is 15 January 2009. All accepted Abstracts will be published in the official Journal of SRA-Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy. The Journal will be available at the Congress venue.

As part of to-be-further-detailed social program, we will have an opportunity to sail on the Bosphorus watching Asia and Europe at the same time. We believe that this will be one of the unforgettable moments for all participants.

We believe that the superb program being organized by the Scientific Committee, the colorful and exciting social activities, coupled with the breath taking panorama and exotic surroundings of Istanbul will make Anatomist 2009 a rewarding educational and social and travel experience.

Dear friends and colleagues let us all be eyewitness to the eternal oriental and occidental city, and its hospitality. We look forward to welcoming you to an occasion, which will remain fresh in our minds for many years.

Kind regards,

Professor H. Hamdi Çelik M.D., Ph.D.
President of Congress EACA 2009
President of the Turkish Society of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy
