Dear Colleagues and Friends,

We are pleased to invite you to the Sixth Intercontinental Geoinformation Days (IGD) for professionals in the field of Geoinformation science. We are delighted to host a series of interactive presentations from 13-14 June 2023.

The conference will provide extensive didactic and collaborative opportunities for geomatics specialists as well as other scientists and professionals studying geospatial.

The 2-day conference offers online technical sessions and workshops. The technical program will include dozens of presentations in the fields of geodesy, remote sensing, photogrammetry, land management, cartography, GIS and geodesy, including best practices and new research.

As the outbreak of the new corona virus disrupts the daily lives of billions of people around the world, and annual mass conferences and small public gatherings have moved online. While the new format poses numerous technical and organizational challenges, it also offers opportunities to reach a wider audience, reduce the carbon footprint of meeting travel, and improve diversity and equity.

This format was very successful at the first, second, third, fourth and fifth IGD conferences. More than 65 reports from 20 countries were presented at the last event. What made the conference so successful was not just the numbers, but the overall enthusiasm that was consistently presented throughout the two days, as well as the engagement of the presenters.

The goal of Intercontinental Geoinformation Days (IGD) is to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government to explore, discuss, explore, and develop principles, state-of-the-art, and solutions to critical problems in geoinformation science.

IGD 2023-6 is organized on the basis of cooperation with the Institute of Geography named after academician H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Department of Geomatics Engineering of Mersin University of Turkey. Technical sessions will be broadcast by the organizing committee thanks to the support of sponsors. Participants registered for IGD 2022 – 6 will be invited to join the online meeting. Joining an online meeting will allow you to follow the talks and interact with the speakers. All sessions will also be broadcast to the general public (anyone who has not pre-registered for IGD 2023 – 6) to watch. Each session will have its own broadcast link.

We will be pleased to welcome scientists at the sixth Intercontinental Geoinformation Days, scheduled for June 13-14, 2023.
